I reported the sighting of the bird with the colored bands to the Bird Banding Lab and received the following report. It was banded on 05/15/2007 by Ashleigh Blackford, is a male and has aluminum band number 1891-84893. He was a helper until 2010 when he first became part of a breeding pair.
All nestlings and adults on Three Lakes, as well as Herky Huffman/Bull Creek, and Triple N Ranch are banded. Every bird banded on Three Lakes will have a blue band on top of one of the legs, Triple N and HHBC have a black band.
