Cape Cod 2003

We walked around the harbor and marveled at how still the water was. A good sign considering the rough waters we had experienced the day before. The fog was still worrisome. |
A Common Eider was swimming quite close to the dock but I had left my teleconverter back in the car. I went to get it, but naturally the duck had moved further away by the time I returned. I liked the pattern of the waves so took a few shots anyway. The picture shown here is a cropped from the original image. |

We had no idea what the building was or why it had the pictures on it, but we found it quite interesting. I also enjoyed looking at the colorful boats—the older the better. It was now almost 8 and we stopped at the whale watch line to get our tickets; they asked if we wanted to go on an earlier sailing and we said "No" because breakfast beckoned. Back to Twomey's where Joan had Eggs Benedict; she opted to have the "regular" version rather than one with lobster. I had an Irish breakfast consisting of Limerick bacon, Mitchelstown sausages, grilled tomatoes, eggs, and home fries. Yum! |
