What an incredible sight! While driving near Sarapiqui, Costa Rica, we were amazed to see tens of thousands of hawks circling overhead, the flocks stretching from horizon to horizon. We just had to stop the car, get out, and watch. The vast majority of birds were Broad-winged Hawks, but the flock also contained Turkey Vultures and other species.
